Too Much Time Has Past!

I've been lax in posting anything since 2007. It's now 2010 - WOW! 3 yrs. I once again had ALL my family together in July 2009. The Boston crew was here for a few days & we tried to squeeze in as much 'family time' as possible. One of the things accomplished was pictures of all 6 grandchildren together...now I'm wishing ALL family members had been in the photos. I treasure the photos I have; thrills my heart each time I look at the photos. I'm a rich, rich woman; not in earthly treasures, but certainly in treasures of my family members.

CELEBRATING OUR NEWEST ADDITION
We enjoyed a recent visit with our newest grandson, his Mommy & Mamom. The visit was short but extremely enjoyable as we got to know our newest grandson. This was the first meeting for Uncle Bryan, Pop, Mammaw & Pappaw, & Great Aunt Judy
.
Our house was filled to capacity with our family together for the first time with their children. I managed to take one very quick photo of all six grandchildren before the Boston crew had to leave for home.
Pictured left to right: Storey (holding baby Benjamin), Liam Paul being held by Layna, Haile, and in front, with the silly grin, is our one and only, Kailan Dane.
Benjamin has grown so much since my March visit to Boston that I HAD to have another picture with him.
We even managed to get a picture of Pop with his youngest grandson! From Jaaym's perspective, Pop is mighty proud of his grandson.
We are into the school year 2007-2008. The children are all busy with new school programs & activities. They enjoy getting back into a regular routine. The pictures below are our Lubbock grandsons: Liam Paul, Kailan Dane, and Bryan Haile.

Our hearts were brimming over with love as we enjoyed our six grand- children, Jennifer, Shiela, and Bryan. The little house at 5109 39th Street was full to the brim, and there was little space to move around, but everyone was laughing & having a good time getting as much visiting time in as possible with the Boston folk.
My endeavor to lose weight continues. I recently attained a loss of 40 lbs! Hooray for me!!! It's a long, difficult battle but the feeling of confidence and 'being a winner' far outweighs carrying around the extra pounds. Can you see a difference in my appearance. The photos are dated December 2005, May 2006, April 2007 and Sept. 2007. I've tried to include pictures taken from the same distance. In the last picture (9/07), I had a fresh haircut and it was a closer view of myself. I feel changes in my body, unseen in these photos.

Life Continues
The new grandbaby, I spoke about earlier, arrived on December 19, 2006. It was a surprise delivery - a C-section. My daughter-in-law, Jennifer, gave birth to a beautiful boy...Benjamin Deacon. My heart was sooo full of gratitude & love for this precious little boy, & I could hardly wait to hold him in my arms. Jennifer & Shiela sent many photos so I could share their good news with Uncle Bryan, Mammaw & Pappaw, and aunts/uncles/cousins.
I had the privilege of spending time with this new grandson the entire month of March when I flew to Boston. Of course, Jaaym took many, many photos of her 'angel boy', & happily babysat him once Mama Shiela went back to work. Each day was a new adventure - I was amazed at his day-to-day growth. The most recent photo (at right w/Mama Shiela) at 5 mos., is when his Mommies took him on a walk for the March of Dimes on April 29, 2006. My regret is that I wasn't there to witness their walk & enjoy my grandson once again.

These 6 grandchildren, my son, my daughter and my daughter-in-law, Jennifer, is what help me keep going in life. I am a blessed woman and rich, not in earthly treasures, but in heavenly blessings.

THE DELIGHTS OF MY LIFE !!!!

My grandchildren are the delightS of my life!!!! Any moment I can spend with them are treasured. I know in not so many years, all of them will be grown. Perhaps in the future, they will have so many other interests, spending time with Jaaym won't be as important. So - I'm reveling in every moment now.
Layna Moree is 9 yrs old. My pet name for her is 'Angel Girl'. She is my first-born grandchild, & oldest grand-daughter. Layna is now blossoming into a beautiful young lady. She has been talking since she was 9 mos old, and saying complete sentences before age 1. She's always been too intelligent for her own good & quick to learn.
Layna loves horses. Any movie, anything that has horse attached to it, she's anxious to read, watch, or learn about. She's a straight A student, and has been acknowledged in the newspaper as an Honor Roll student each of her 3 school years. I love dressing both my little girls -- and so far, they've not fought me on putting the ribbons in their hair. They're fast approaching the age when Jaaym's wishes are NOT particularly their wishes. Until they actually defy my preferences, I'll continue to 'doll' them up.

She likes singing & being a primpy little girl. Her singing ability is quite good to be so young. I love her excitement at being 'up front' performing in front of a large group. She fascinates me with her ideas of how things should be done; and she seems to love coming to Jaaym's house & convincing her to 'paint my nails'. Since Jaaym has a complete set of dressy & play clothes to wear, she likes to rummage through the chest of drawers & dress herself. We sometimes play grown-up or dress-up. There's just ONE Storey-girl, & I love her so very much!

The oldest grandson, Bryan Haile, is 5 yrs. old. He's my 'little man'. His temperment is very loving & caring. He's an extremely sensitive child who wants to please just about everyone. Haile is tall for his age, and very slender. He will begin kindergarten this fall, and is looking forward to learning. He LOVES to play baseball....and delights in using his hat, ball, glove, and mitt that Aunts Shiela & Jenn sent him for his birthday. They also sent a Boston Red Sox tee shirt that he wears with MUCH pride. He's looking forward to Aunt Shiela coming for a visit soon & playing baseball with him. My 'Little Man' is very much the protector of his younger brothers, Kailan & Liam, and I have the joy of watching his interests develop on a day-to-day basis. Think I'll keep this 'little man' around for a long time!!

Our middle grandson, Kailan Dane, is one good looking little fellow. My little 'hot shot'. His deep dark red hair captivates everyone. His Great-Grandpa Webb had dark red, curly hair & he was a handsome man as well. Kai keeps us all on our toes. The adventures for the day begins when he wakes each morning....we NEVER have a dull moment when Kailan is around. If there is any kind of activity happening, usually Kailan is in the middle of it all. If there's nothing happening - Mr. Kai will MAKE IT HAPPEN! He melts my heart when he looks up at me with those big beautiful blue eyes, long curly eyelashes. When he cries, his tears are big 'alligator' tears. He's a precious little boy with lots of potential. Keeping him busy is yet another challenge. Kailan is a real keeper. I'm certain one day his outgoing personality will entice many a young lady.

Our youngest grandson, Liam Paul, is 17 mos old. He is one busy, busy little boy. The innocence of a baby learning fascinates me. It's amazing how fast he can wrap Jaaym's heart around his little finger. There's not one button on the stereo or television that he hasn't pushed - just to see what happens. After he pushes the button, he runs like mad because he KNOWS Jaaym is coming after 'em!!!! He's a sweetie & I love that baby-fine blonde hair, and ice blue eyes. Liam loves music & any time he hears it, he will listen very closely, and before you know it, he's trying to sing along.

Pictures

My son, Bryan, and one of his little boys (Haile) joined us. Haile loved on his aunts & uncles. Bryan is the father of five children: Layna Moree (9 yrs), Storey Renae (8 yrs), Bryan Haile (5 yrs), Kailan Dane (3 yrs), and Liam Paul (17 mos.). They are ALL the delight of my life.

Aren't they all beautiful? Yep! They got Jaaym wrapped around their little fingers. AND -- I'm looking forward to adding yet another grandchild to my photo album in January 2007. I can hardly wait to see the newest baby to come on the scene.
Below, is a photo of the brothers/sisters attending the dinner 5/06 in Lubbock, TX.

We have many happy times at family reunions & Christmas parties. As time passes, family becomes more & more precious.
