THE DELIGHTS OF MY LIFE !!!!

My grandchildren are the delightS of my life!!!! Any moment I can spend with them are treasured. I know in not so many years, all of them will be grown. Perhaps in the future, they will have so many other interests, spending time with Jaaym won't be as important. So - I'm reveling in every moment now.
Layna Moree is 9 yrs old. My pet name for her is 'Angel Girl'. She is my first-born grandchild, & oldest grand-daughter. Layna is now blossoming into a beautiful young lady. She has been talking since she was 9 mos old, and saying complete sentences before age 1. She's always been too intelligent for her own good & quick to learn.
Layna loves horses. Any movie, anything that has horse attached to it, she's anxious to read, watch, or learn about. She's a straight A student, and has been acknowledged in the newspaper as an Honor Roll student each of her 3 school years. I love dressing both my little girls -- and so far, they've not fought me on putting the ribbons in their hair. They're fast approaching the age when Jaaym's wishes are NOT particularly their wishes. Until they actually defy my preferences, I'll continue to 'doll' them up.
Storey Renae is soon to be 8 yrs old, and a second grader this fall. "Sweetie Pie" has been a delight to my heart. She's very active, and is always in the middle of whatever is happening. She loves babies & that's a good thing since she has three little brothers. Storey seems to be athletic & will give most anyone a challenge when there is a race to be run.She likes singing & being a primpy little girl. Her singing ability is quite good to be so young. I love her excitement at being 'up front' performing in front of a large group. She fascinates me with her ideas of how things should be done; and she seems to love coming to Jaaym's house & convincing her to 'paint my nails'. Since Jaaym has a complete set of dressy & play clothes to wear, she likes to rummage through the chest of drawers & dress herself. We sometimes play grown-up or dress-up. There's just ONE Storey-girl, & I love her so very much!

The oldest grandson, Bryan Haile, is 5 yrs. old. He's my 'little man'. His temperment is very loving & caring. He's an extremely sensitive child who wants to please just about everyone. Haile is tall for his age, and very slender. He will begin kindergarten this fall, and is looking forward to learning. He LOVES to play baseball....and delights in using his hat, ball, glove, and mitt that Aunts Shiela & Jenn sent him for his birthday. They also sent a Boston Red Sox tee shirt that he wears with MUCH pride. He's looking forward to Aunt Shiela coming for a visit soon & playing baseball with him. My 'Little Man' is very much the protector of his younger brothers, Kailan & Liam, and I have the joy of watching his interests develop on a day-to-day basis. Think I'll keep this 'little man' around for a long time!!

Our middle grandson, Kailan Dane, is one good looking little fellow. My little 'hot shot'. His deep dark red hair captivates everyone. His Great-Grandpa Webb had dark red, curly hair & he was a handsome man as well. Kai keeps us all on our toes. The adventures for the day begins when he wakes each morning....we NEVER have a dull moment when Kailan is around. If there is any kind of activity happening, usually Kailan is in the middle of it all. If there's nothing happening - Mr. Kai will MAKE IT HAPPEN! He melts my heart when he looks up at me with those big beautiful blue eyes, long curly eyelashes. When he cries, his tears are big 'alligator' tears. He's a precious little boy with lots of potential. Keeping him busy is yet another challenge. Kailan is a real keeper. I'm certain one day his outgoing personality will entice many a young lady.

Our youngest grandson, Liam Paul, is 17 mos old. He is one busy, busy little boy. The innocence of a baby learning fascinates me. It's amazing how fast he can wrap Jaaym's heart around his little finger. There's not one button on the stereo or television that he hasn't pushed - just to see what happens. After he pushes the button, he runs like mad because he KNOWS Jaaym is coming after 'em!!!! He's a sweetie & I love that baby-fine blonde hair, and ice blue eyes. Liam loves music & any time he hears it, he will listen very closely, and before you know it, he's trying to sing along.

Pictures
Lucky Mama In Texas!!! The photo was taken Mother's Day 2006. I was on my way to a luncheon with my sisters (Joyce & Pam) and several nieces. It was a 'high day' for me. The day ended with a nice evening meal with our brothers & their wives at a local restaurant. It was wonderful & we shared many happy moments. My sister, Pam, came from England for these events. Joyce is from Cleburne, TX; Bob/Tempey from Burkburnett; Sam/Rhonda from Farwell, TX; Larry/Patsy from Hale Center, TX. We missed seeing the oldest brother, Wayne & his sweet wife, Juanita. After enjoying a wonderful meal together, we gathered around & sang familiar songs accompanied on the guitar by brothers - Larry & Bob. Sam seems to always have a funny joke to tell. ALL of my siblings are so precious & special -- and the mean the world to me. Lots of nieces/nephews came to join us. I thank God for my family. My son, Bryan, and one of his little boys (Haile) joined us. Haile loved on his aunts & uncles. Bryan is the father of five children: Layna Moree (9 yrs), Storey Renae (8 yrs), Bryan Haile (5 yrs), Kailan Dane (3 yrs), and Liam Paul (17 mos.). They are ALL the delight of my life.

Aren't they all beautiful? Yep! They got Jaaym wrapped around their little fingers. AND -- I'm looking forward to adding yet another grandchild to my photo album in January 2007. I can hardly wait to see the newest baby to come on the scene.
Below, is a photo of the brothers/sisters attending the dinner 5/06 in Lubbock, TX.
From left to right back row: Joyce, Larry, Pam, Sam. Seated left to right: June, Bob. If Wayne had attended we'd have had all living siblings together...we missed him. It was indeed a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. We have many happy times at family reunions & Christmas parties. As time passes, family becomes more & more precious.
